Why install Statseeker Version 3.4?

Statseeker version 3.4 reintroduces some functionality from Version 2.8 including: "13 Month Device Group Availability Reporting", "Threshold Event Reporting" and "Top X Management Reporting".

New Features:
  1. Top X Management Report

This report combines the following reports into one for providing a Network Summary:

    1. Current Device Outage Status
    2. Interface Utilization % (Top X)
    3. Interface Bits per Second (Top X)
    4. Interface Bytes (Top X)
    5. Interface Error Totals (Top X)
    6. Interface Discard Totals (Top X)
Note: The number of entries displayed in the Top X reports is configurable via the Administration Tool.

  2. New Interface Reports

    1. Utilization

This includes Device, Interface, Interface Speed, Interface RX Util %, Interface TX Util %, and Interface Title information.

    2. Bits Per Second

This includes Device, Interface, Interface Speed, Interface RX Bits Per Second, Interface TX Bits Per Second, and Interface Title information.

    3. Bytes

This includes Device, Interface, Interface Speed, Interface RX Bytes, Interface TX Bytes, and Interface Title information.

    4. Packets

This includes Device, Interface, Interface Speed, Interface RX Packets, Interface TX Packets, and Interface Title information.

  4. New Historical Management Reports

    1. Group SLA Availability (13 months)

Before this report can be run, SLAs will first need to be configured in the Administration Tool. This report included information about the availability of each Device Group associated to a SLA for each month for the last 13 months.
Note: This report is calculated using ping up and down events and will produce availability for each month for the configured SLA period as well as for the total time in that month.

    2. Interface Bytes (13 months)

This includes Device, Interface, Interface Speed, Rx Bytes and Tx Bytes for the last 13 months, Interface Title.
Note: This report uses cached data which is calculated once per day, and is calculated in the server's local time. On an upgrade the previous 13 months will be calculated in the background and may take some time before data is represented in this report.

    3. Interface Errors (13 months)

This includes Device, Interface, Interface Speed, Rx Errors and Tx Errors for the last 13 months, Interface Title.
Note: This report uses cached data which is calculated once per day, and is calculated in the server's local time. On an upgrade the previous 13 months will be calculated in the background and may take some time before data is represented in this report.

    4. Interface Discards (13 months)

This includes Device, Interface, Interface Speed, Rx Discards and Tx Discards for the last 13 months, Interface Title.
Note: This report uses cached data which is calculated once per day, and is calculated in the server's local time. On an upgrade the previous 13 months will be calculated in the background and may take some time before data is represented in this report.

  5. Report summary lines

    1. Reports now have summary lines to show how many interfaces/devices met the report criteria.

    2. The summary line also indicates when no data was found to meet the report criteria.

  6. Report Hiding

There is an Automatic filtering of the report list in the main console to only show technologies discovered. For Example - if the network has no frame relay interfaces, the Frame Relay section will not appear in the report list.

  7. Configurable Interface Autogrouping

  8. Operating System Upgraded

Default installed OS is now FreeBSD-7.3-release.
