2.8.x Upgrade Procedure

1. Please contact Statseeker Support to obtain link to latest 2.8.x ISO image and then burn it to a blank CD.
2. Use the Backup/Restore utility in ssadmin to perform a backup of the server.
3. Perform a clean installation using the latest Statseeker Installation CDROM.
4. DO NOT enter Customer Number and Product Keys.
5. Perform a restore. The server will reboot after a successful restore.
6. Enter the Customer Number and Product Keys.

• Minimum Operating System Requirements
• Operating System Version for new installations

  The default operating system for new installations is the latest version FreeBSD-6.2-STABLE.

• Supported browsers

  The following web browsers have been tested:

  • IE 6.x
  • Mozilla
  • Netscape 7.2 / 8.0
  • Firefox
  • Opera
  • Konqueror 3.4

  NOTE: Older versions of Netscape and IE are not supported because they lack support for CSS stylesheets.

Known Issues

• Unix Opera does not appear to work with the device configuration tool in the Network Monitor.
• The installation CD will not boot on old hardware that does not support the newer CD booting standards.
