IMPORTANT:
It is important to identify if the processor installed in the server is 64 bit or
32 bit in order to select the appropriate version of the CDROM ISO image file. To obtain this information, boot
up the server, enter the BIOS and look for the processor information section.
Download - Upgrades
IMPORTANT:

There are two methods for upgrading Statseeker. You have the option of upgrading the Software Only
or upgrading both the Statseeker Software and Operating System. If you are unsure which option to
choose, please contact our Customer Services Team at csm@statseeker.com.

If you are upgrading from a release prior to Statseeker Version 3.2.0, please contact the Statseeker
Customer Service Team at csm@statseeker.com before you upgrade.

If your Statseeker Server is currently operating on FreeBSD 7.0, both the Statseeker Software and
the Operating System will need to be be upgraded.

To check if your Statseeker Server is currently running FreeBSD 7.0 OR to identify whether you need to
download the 64bit or 32bit version, please log on to your Statseeker Server using telnet or ssh
as the statseeker user and run the following command:
uname -a
Note: x64 indicates a 64 bit installation, while x86 indicates a 32 bit installation.

WARNING: Upgrading to Statseeker Version 3.5 from prior versions requires updates to internal
files which may take some time to complete. (Approximately 7 minutes for a 22,000 port network).

Why Install Statseeker Version 3.5
Statseeker Version 3.5 reintroduces some of the "OperStatus Availability" functionality from
Version 2.8. It also increases the Threshold capabilities, introduces the ability to monitor
additional Network Devices for CPU, Temperature and Memory, and increases the functionality of
the MAC / IP / Switch Port reporting.
New Features:

- Group SLA Availability (13 Months);
Note: SLAs need to be configured in the Administration Tool first.

Note: Previously configured ifOperStatus actions and filters will need to be re-configured after upgrading to Statseeker 3.5.

- Network Device Temperature;
- Cisco IPSLA.
- New Network Devices Monitoring Capabilities
Discovery of these technologies can be enabled/disabled at the Administration Tool> Network Discovery -
Advanced Options section.
